Welcome to the libertarian festival in Montenegro

4-6 October 2024!


MONTELIBERO FEST 2024 is organised by participants of Montelibero, a project to build a free society in Europe, starting with Montenegro (Free Society Project in Europe, FSPE).


The festival brings together members of the Montelibero movement, people with libertarian views and anyone interested in learning how personal and social freedom and independence can be successfully secured in the modern world and what alternative methods of organising society exist.


The event will take place at several locations:

on the territory of Mtl City - the first settlement of Montelibero in Montenegro

&

in the equipped light hall Lectorum in the very centre of Bar in Focuss.Space Event Hall.


You can attend the event for free, but you need to book a ticket. Places are limited and the event is funded by donations. The top 5 donators will get access to the VIP party along with the speakers, organisers and special guests of the event.

Speakers
  • Michael Pozharsky
    Popular blogger, publicist, politician, one of the brightest representatives of libertarian thought
  • Božo
    Bitcoin advocate, enthusiast and investor
    Passionate about the technology behind some of the most sophisticated money the world has ever seen. After a 20 year corporate career in Silicon Valley in the technology industry, started to develop businesses independently in Montenegro and the Balkans.
    Along with spreading the word about ways to use bitcoin, I am currently developing synergies with projects focused on energy, technology, human capital and real estate.

    Programmer, developer, architect, writer, speaker and voluntaryist
    I am one of the founders of the Free City of Liberstad. We build and develop the Free City in a peaceful and respectful way towards nature and the environment, with a special focus on the safety of its inhabitants.
    I believe in voluntarism and the possibility to build a good, free and peaceful society as long as voluntarism is the basis.
    I work with decentralised systems and my goal is to decentralise everything.
  • Stanislav Karkavin
    Activist of the Montelibero project
    How technology can be used to strengthen communities, create working analogs of state institutions, and not have to ask anyone about it. The practice of libertarianism and panarchy on the example of the Montelibero Association.

  • Alexei Shoustov
    PhD in political psychology. Author of ‘Beyond the State – 2.030’ – a plan to develop panarchy in the near future
    He was elected as a deputy of the district council, worked for over 15 years as a political strategist in elections and as an expert in governmental bodies of St. Petersburg, including 4 years as an advisor to the governor.
    After becoming acquainted with libertarian ideology, he focused on developing practical tools for creating panarchic public institutions and ceased cooperation with the government. He is the author of several books on the humanities. For more than 5 years, he hosted talks on politics and history on an independent television channel. He implemented political projects opposing the actions of the Russian authorities.
  • Yury Polozov
    Member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives (USA)

    Yury grew up in Russia and came to America in search of the American dream; he gained citizenship and the opportunity to actively build a libertarian society in the United States by becoming a member of the world-renowned Free State Project.
    He holds a master's degree in biology from St. Petersburg State University and works in the private sector as a senior cybersecurity threat analyst.

Free programme
Montelibero Space will open at 9am and all day long will host festival guests and anyone who wants to socialise before the main event.

A cosy, homely atmosphere, talking about everything in the world over a cup of coffee, networking and the chance to sit in the open air.

If you don't feel like watching a film, you can just be in the club, meet new people, enjoy delicious food and drinks.

Russian traveller, artist and writer. He developed and implemented the project of the world's first trip around the Earth by bicycle along the coastline of the continents - Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America. At the closing of the festival Vladimir will hold a creative meeting and a personal exhibition will be held.

Location
In 2024, the MTL Fest will take place across several locations, including the heart of our beloved city of Bar and the libertarian initial settlement of MTL City. The festival grounds will feature thematic areas, a marketplace, and spaces for relaxation and socializing.

MTL City is located near Dubrava and Pečurice villages in the municipality of Bar, Montenegro.
The parking at the festival site will cost 7 euros per day.
You can take an intercity bus to the Dobre Vode (Dubrava) stop and walk 20 minutes using the navigator to Montelibero City. Bus schedules: https://busticket4.me/EN
You can also get to Montelibero City by taxi (which are parked at the railway station Bar and the main bus station) or order by phone: +38268126366
Free shuttle from Bar (booking ahead of time is required, seats are limited): there will be 2 shuttle services at 12.30 and 13.30 from the bus station of Bar and from the free parking by the Meksiko school, and 3 from Montelibero city back at 21.00, 23.10 and 00.00.
