The festival brings together people from different countries who are inspired by the ideas of freedom, cooperation, and open communication. This is the third meeting of the Montelibero community, and every year it becomes more and more international.
This year, Montelibero.Zajedno 2025 will open a platform for the exchange of ideas, inspiration, and joint projects. Lectures and panel discussions will be held in English with speakers from Montenegro and other European countries.

The venue is the Kings Park Hotel in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

The festival brings together participants in the Montelibbero movement, people with libertarian views, and anyone interested in learning how to successfully ensure personal and social freedom and independence in the modern world and what alternative methods of organising society exist.

  • Risto Backović
    Bachelor's degree in economics, master's degree in accounting and auditing, author of the book “Fundamentals of Cryptocurrencies”.

    “Basics of Cryptocurrencies”

    Completed primary and secondary school in Niksic and earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro.
    He continued his education at the Faculty of International Economics, Finance, and Business at the University of Donja Gorica, where he completed a master's degree in Accounting and Auditing.
    He is building his professional career at the auditing company BDO, where he works as an auditor specializing in financial companies, and at the Central Bank of Montenegro. His research interests include contemporary economic and financial processes and regulation, with a particular focus on cryptocurrencies and their regulation.

    Programmer, developer, architect, writer, speaker, and volunteer.

    “Liberstad”

    I am one of the founders of the free city of Liberstad. We are building and developing the Free City in peaceful and respectful conditions with regard to nature and the environment, paying special attention to the safety of its residents.
    I believe in voluntarism and the possibility of building a good, free, and peaceful society, as long as voluntarism is the foundation.
    I work with decentralized systems, and my goal is to decentralize everything.
  • Egor Yakovlev
    Entrepreneur, innovator, co-author of the architecture of the new Web 3.0 Data Space internet.

    “What is digital sovereignty and how can it help communities?”

    Once, my partners and I created the world's largest audio guide platform. But then we decided that being a monopoly was wrong and decided to break it all down. In just a few years, we went from a raw idea of fighting digital lords to releasing a full-fledged Web 3.0 Data Space architecture — a “new internet” based on the concept of a sovereign digital “I”. Right now, it's the foundation for the work of several independent communities in Amsterdam.

    Entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist.

    Tech‑savvy self‑taught entrepreneur who co‑founded Russia’s top mobile phone retail chain and later became a prominent international investor dedicated to longevity science, space innovation, and cutting‑edge startups. A philanthropist with a passion for biotech and fostering scientific research, he now lives in the UK and continues to back groundbreaking ventures aimed at extending human life and exploring new frontiers.
  • Thomas D. Walls
    Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberland, activist, libertarian.

    “Liberland”

    Thomas D. Walls is a longtime libertarian activist and campaigner in the U.S. He has a strong interest in the culture and history of Europe and worked in the German Parliament (Bundestag) and at the U.S. Embassy in Germany under the late Ambassador Richard Holbrooke.
    Tom has been involved with the Free Republic of Liberland since its founding, serving as the US Representative and then as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. He spends most of his time at Liberland Ark Village in Apatin, Serbia.

A comfortable hall at the Kings Park Hotel in the center of Podgorica, next to a small cozy park, will provide a venue for the Festival.
